Workshops, Concerts and Events dedicated to creative music in the heart of the Cilento Park

JazzinLaurino 2019 from 9th al 13rd agosto

The event, produced by the Municipality of Laurino with the artistic direction of Angelo Maffia, President of the Cultural Association Liberi Suoni, is bringing artists of the international scene to the Cilento each year, supporting young musicians, offering the opportunity to study with the best Italian and foreigners teachers.

JazzinLaurino is at its 17th edition, thanks to the collaboration between the Associazione Liberi Suoni and Liceo Musicale Alfano I ° of Salerno, there will be the awarding of the National Competition for Music High Schools.

The absolute protagonists of the 2019 edition will be the Masters Rita Marcotulli (piano), Andy Sheppard (sax), Diana Torto (vocals), Furio DI Castri (double bass), Marco Tindiglia (guitar) and Michele Rabbia (drums and percussion) will play exclusively for JazzinLaurino Sunday 11th August at 10.00 pm in the Teatro Comunale di Laurino (free offer).

At the JazzinLaurino Campus participants, young people from all over Italy and abroad, will immerse themselves in creative music with instrument lessons in the morning, ensemble music lessons in the afternoon and lots of “jam sessions” and “open mics” in the afternoon and evening.  And on the last evening of the festival, Tuesday 13th August, concert by the workshop participants who propose the repertoire prepared during the lessons.

At the end of the evening a student for each instrument will be awarded of the “Dennis Irwin” award which was established in memory of the great American double-bass player, teacher for a few years at JazzinLaurino.

Every evening Piazza Magliani will become the Street Food lounge to dine in simplicity and not miss a single note!

During the event, Francesco Truono’s Photography Workshop will be held by the Focus Association.
