ROSCIGNO VECCHIA: NATIVITY 900
Saturday 28 December and Sunday 29 December, from 3.00 pm, in the heart of the Cilento National Park, Vallo di Diano and Alburni, a spectacular religious re-enactment of the Living Nativity: scenes of daily life, ancient crafts, typical products, music, clothes of epoch and suggestions of the Nativity.
The whole community is the protagonist with the participation with the participation of the non-EU children who are guests of the S.P.R.A.R. (protection system for asylum seekers and refugees) and the boys of the “A.S.D. Montepruno Roscigno “. One hundred figures appear within the evocative scenery of the small village of Roscigno Vecchia, the heart of peasant civilization. Soft lights, background music, nature that shows itself in all its beauty.
This beautiful Living Nativity is also fascinating for its size, it winds, in fact, along a path articulated within the old town. The places embellished with furnishings, lights and background music revive ancient Bethlehem, making the visitor an integral part. Presepe 900 represents a perfect synthesis between devotion and faith, but also the opportunity for many visitors to learn about the historical, naturalistic and cultural richness of our territory.
